Bilingual Clinician, ACT PRIDE

The ACT and PRIDE programs serves youth and families involved with Sonoma County Juvenile Probation.  It is an intensive family and community-based treatment program for SED probation-involved youth with substance abuse problems and/or gang affiliations, who are at risk of out-of-home placement. The Clinician will work as part of a team to build family and community support and resource systems and supervise the activities and interventions of the team’s Youth Specialist and Peer Advocate.  The  ACT/PRIDE Clinician will serve a diverse client-base including but not limited to: severely emotionally disturbed youth (SED) as well as youth who are engaged in gang-affiliated behaviors. Youth who are on probation with gang-enhancements make up approximately 50% of the caseload. You will also provide services to youth who are on probation with a mental health impairment.  In addition to community based-treatment of all youth and their families, the Clinician is responsible for participating in the interactive court process, held weekly, with clients, families, the presiding judge, probation, the District Attorney and Public Defender’s offices.


  • Provide intensive therapy and case management services to case load between 12-15 SED clients who live in at home, foster homes or group homes, half of which have gang enhancements.
  • Conduct assessments and re-assessments 
  • Engage primary caregiver, youth and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment 
  • Maintain clear concise documentation of treatment efforts via our EHR, Tier.
  • Collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system.
  • Provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with wraparound principles and practices.
  • Remain open-minded and respectful to diverse cultural and individual values and practices.


  • Bi-Lingual/Cultural (English/Spanish) Required
  • Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related subject area required.
  • Must be licensed or a registered intern with the California Board of Behavioral Science, BBS registeres ACSW, AMFT. APCC or LCSW, LMFT, LPCC
  • Fingerprint clearance through Sonoma County Probation.
  • A valid California driver's license, personal automobile for use on the job, insurable based on DMV record and personal vehicle insurance.
  • Foundational knowledge of working with gang-associated youth
